A Wild Romance. Our first ever photoshoot.

Earlier this fall, while brainstorming our first photoshoot and product test-drive, we knew a natural environment along with enthusiastic outdoor women was on top of our wish list. 

While scoping for locations and models, we thought - “What better place to pick shooting than in a flourishing nature reserve, that's also a very romantic and royal park, located in the middle of the city? And who could possibly represent better models than a bunch of natural, authentic and unedited women?”

So, we invited 7 friends, brought a portable stove, a tent, a bag of chanterelles, some golden milk, a basket of lingonberry and set camp in Hagaparken this crispy fall afternoon - and to be honest, it turned out better than we could ever imagine. To add, the sun was shining and breezes of fresh air gave us all blushing cheeks while the leaves were turning orange in the distance.

But, enough of painting poetic sceneries. Now to the best part, introducing you to our beautiful muses hanging around with Astrid Wild’s first garments, the Wild Icons, and judging by the look of their faces - they seemed to love wearing them as much as we do.

First up, Perri - Our friend & traveling creative chica who’s also a part of the Arctic Adventure Travel company @pukkatravels. She recently took part in this amazing initiative arranged by Pukka - “The Ocean Clean Up Tromsö”, which we think all of you should have a peek at!

Perri is 172 cm tall, wearing our Aleksandra Merino Wool Top in Dusty Pink, size S, the Minna Wool Fleece Jacket in White, size S and the Astrid Avant-Garde Outdoor Pants in Camel, size 38.

“The fit of everything was true to size, very durable and comfortable both when walking, biking, jogging & sitting. The top fit was amazing and moved with my body and kept my core temperature warm when I was cold, and cooled me down when I started to get warm. The wool sweater was my favorite item, something to have year round especially when living in Scandinavia. It was oversized and the full zip up to the jaw line is a dream! The pants look and feel is incredible and it is so nice to finally have found a hiking / outdoor pants that I feel comfortable wearing because of their feminine cut and fit“ - Perri

Next up, Vanessa - Well, calling her a big bubble of positive energy would be an understatement, we didn’t even get to know what her face looks like without a smile on it. So if you’re ever feeling down, give her a call. She’s basically born in the slopes and calls Bad Gastein her second home.

“The pants fitted me like a glove, both over my bum and my thighs. It felt like they were made for just me. The top had such a nice fit, Ioved the slightly longer (but still short) sleeves. For the jacket, S would probably be a better fit for me than the L.“ - Vanessa

Our third model and explorer, Wictoria - She might be the coolest and most enduring wolf in the pack, as she recently graduated as a duty of air defense in Halmstad this summer. She was one of the first to parade the troops after the duty was reintroduced in Sweden, and apart from all that - she’s only 20 years old with the kindest heart and warmest personality. And here’s Sofie - Co-founder of the tech company Toborrow & entrepreneur who recently left the start-up cluster in Stockholm and moved up to the north. She settled in Åre, not only for new job opportunities - but also to pursue her love for skiing and the mountains. She’s a big inspiration to all of us, and you can read more about her missions here.

Our fifth model and friend, Andjela - Apart from sharing our love for outdoor adventures, she’s also a public speaker, engineer & e-sports entrepreneur. Yep, you heard right. She likes to proclaim herself as an “Undiscovered comedian”, and we have solid proof that she’s telling the truth about that.

A true wiz when it comes to creating the technical elements of design (the best in the game according to us) with a personality so warm you just want to hug her 24/7.

And here’s Ebba - A close friend of our co-founder Maria's mother, not only an outdoorsy lady looking truly smashing in Astrid Wild, but she's also spending many of her weekly hours working as a landscape architect. How cool is that?

Well not to forget, our animal-friend and cuddle partner - The poodle Clark. Unfortunately, Clark isn't wearing any of Astrid's Wild Icons (yet) maybe we should design doggy-wear as well? What do you say Valérie Pedersén, Clark's mum, startup tech boss and product nerd. Yes/no? 

And last, but not least, Malin Fränberg & Emma Johansson - Our amazing friends & photographers who nailed capturing the essence of these moments, so we can look back at this day and visualize it in more ways than just in our mind.
