Article: Wild at Sea. Candela x Astrid Wild

Wild at Sea. Candela x Astrid Wild

Wild at Sea. Candela x Astrid Wild

The other week we gathered a bunch of girlfriends for an unforgettable evening out on the ocean. A group of like-minded wild women who inspire us every day, a pastel-colored sunset, and a new type of boat experience, seamlessly floating over the surface. We could not think of a better way to enjoy the last day of summer.

The day started outside Candela’s sunny headquarters in Stockholm. If you haven’t heard about Candela, here’s a short intro: Candela makes hydrofoiling electric boats and ferries that are the first to combine long-range with high speed. Their innovative hydrofoil technology cuts energy use by 80%, creating silent, fast, zero-emission vessels with unmatched efficiency.

Simply put, Candela is revolutionizing sustainable water travel, and since innovation and thinking outside the box are some of Astrid Wild’s core values we couldn’t be happier to team up.

We started with a little basic boating course before we headed out, led by our amazing all-female captain team from Candela.

The goosebumps when the Candela boats float seamlessly above sea level.

We arrived at a sundrenched island in the Stockholm archipelago. Time for swimming, catching up with old friends, and making new friendships.

Then it was time for our friend and master chef Agnes from Färsodlarna to serve a delicious wrap based on Färsodlarnas vegetarian balls. All guests got to heat up their own vegetarian balls on kitchen stoves from Primus. Such a quick and yummy dinner that is perfect for the outdoors. Here is the recipe!

When the sun started to set, it was our signal to head back.

Mother Nature was kind to us and showed us a magnificent sunset. Wow, flying above sea level against a pink and blue backdrop was really a moment we’re forever keeping in our hearts. Moments like this are what we live for.

Thanks to everyone coming and sharing your beautiful energy, to the chief captains at Candela Boats, to Färsodlarna for cooking up the amazing dinner, and to Primus for letting us cook and eat in style.
